  1. Is that a child's room? Don't they know those walls and that rug are going to create a hyper child. There is nothing calming in that room.

  2. If it's meant to be a play room, I kinda like it, but I still would have limited the chalk wall to just one.

  4. "And we just CAN'T understand why Janie & Johnny haven't learned not to draw/write on the other walls in the house..."
Gotta love the fact the bathroom is done, too. Heehee!

  5. There is NO WAY that rug stays that clean in real life with all that chalk on the walls! Still though, I would've loved this room as a kid (just not as a mom!).

  6. Totally disagree - I love it. Not for a bedroom, mind you, but for an office or play/game room - I'm all about it. I think it would be great to be inspired constantly. But perhaps dry erase markers would have been better for the chronic asthma...

  8. oh my. you know... as a person who loves things tidy, this would drive me nuts. The dust... the not being able to lean on walls..the poor drawing abilities of those who deigned to use the chalk. I do see the value in chalkboard paint... but the quality of the space is very dependent upon those who wield the weapon of artistry. Yes... the control freak in me couldn't do it.

  9. This is an excellent idea for a playroom. I played so much with chalkboard as a kid that I see it as an important part of kid's development. Plus you can adapt the design to what your kid is into without having to repaint every 3 or 6 months.
